They write beautiful words in their texts, attach a few beautiful photographs obtained under ideal conditions of masterclasses, set a price of several thousand rubles. less than the average, and now – they receive cherished orders. True, the real wedding is very different from the masterclass or workshop. Almost never it passes in ideal conditions for shooting, and the rhythm of the day is so unexpected that you can completely forget to make the necessary settings to the camera before shooting a certain story. As a result, the result is unpredictable. Many times I have been approached by brides, asking them to remake their wedding photos made by such workers. But in most cases the result can not be fixed for many reasons. And all because of the savings of several thousand rubles. Is it worth it? I think no. Tip # 1: I recommend paying attention to the number of people shot in the photographer’s portfolio. Simply put – the person, the environment and the shooting conditions should be different. The more of them, the better.
Also, I would like to draw your attention, dear readers, to the quality of photos, which are now often undeservedly taken to the distant future. More and more photographers are reducing the technical quality of their work (shooting and processing) in view of the fact that they are forced to reduce prices in the face of the emerging hypercompetition in this market of services. To ensure some competitiveness and a significant reduction in the timing of the issuance of ready-made photographs, most photographers use in their work only a packet-based automatic correction. All this and much more, which goes beyond the scope of this article, as a rule leads to a significant deterioration in the technical quality of photographs, which is often explained by the author’s own “vision of the world” 🙂 Tip # 2: Choose a photographer on the principle of “like – do not like it work “rather than” fast, inexpensive “. To achieve the highest quality result, I use only professional photographic equipment and premium class optics in my work, and each photo is carefully hand-processed. My opinion: that would not say that the technique is not important for the creation of “masterpieces”, I believe that the creative and technical component of photography should be inseparable 🙂 For example, in “combat” conditions of the wedding there are such situations: weak or not correct lighting, the need for a stronger blur of the background, greater distance or proximity to the subject, the need for quick focus and speed of shooting, the need to get a clearer picture without motion blur. Often all these conditions occur simultaneously, and then a good shot can be obtained only with the availability of professional equipment. Tip # 3: The technique of the photographer is important.
In this article I decided to include more photos than usual. Yes, many will be similar to each other. But by this I decided to demonstrate that ALL of my photos go through exceptionally high-quality processing, unlike most photographers who give out no more than a dozen interesting shots from the shooting, because The rest of the material is batch-packed, or the remaining photos do not have artistic value. And everywhere now everyone advises – “Pay attention to the full series from one shooting.” I consider it necessary to supplement this council. Tip # 4: pay attention also to the number of photos in the demonstration series.
Trends for shooting and processing are changing rapidly, but the classics will always be in price. Remember, some 7-8 years ago it was fashionable to put brides on your palm, etc.?
